Thank goodness for good government! Thank goodness that President Biden had the experience and compassion to navigate our country through the worst pandemic in our lifetime.

Four years after the worldwide COVID shutdown, the U.S. is thriving. Our economy has bounced back, inflation continues to fall, the unemployment rate is low and wages are rising. Joe Biden’s responsible, steady hand and experience have led to the policies and legislation that got us here.

Contrast this with Donald Trump’s recent preview of how he will govern, if elected – installing his daughter-in-law at the helm of the Republic National Committee. In a recent speech she asked her audience to reflect on how much better life was four years ago, when Trump was President. I guess she forgot that schools and businesses shut down and millions were out of work. Hospitals were overwhelmed, the world economy was in freefall and public officials were struggling with public safety.

Trump’s response to this worldwide catastrophe was to minimize it. While he did fast-track the development of a vaccine, he also discouraged Americans from getting it. Instead, he suggested ingesting bleach and shining lights into our body cavities. He ignored the expert advice available to him. A million Americans died.

Biden and Trump will face off again in November. The choice could not be more stark. I’ll be voting for Biden, the man who has the compassion, knowledge and experience to use the levers of government for the common good. I hope you will too.
