Audition Notice: Archbishop Stepinac High School Drama Club – Mary Poppins
Archbishop Stepinac High School’s Drama Club announces auditions for its spring musical, “Mary Poppins.” This will be a regional premiere. Walt Disney Theatricals has presented the school’s drama club with a pilot license to produce the show.
High school age females (grades 9-12) from any school (public or private) in New York/New Jersey/Connecticut regional areas are encouraged to audition. Male roles will only be cast from current Stepinac students.
Interested females should attend one of the following audition dates: (A) January 13th any time between 3:30 to 6 p.m. or (B) January 14th anytime between 6 to 8:30 p.m. Each day auditions will be on a first come first served basis. For your audition, bring a positive attitude, come prepared to dance (bring tap shoes if you tap and/or character shoes), and sing at least 16 bars of a musical-theater appropriate song. An accompanist will be available to play your sheet music.
Callbacks for ensemble or featured roles will require attendance on both callback dates: Jan 15th (6 to 9 p.m.) for vocal callbacks and January 16th (3:30 to 6 p.m.) for dancing and acting callbacks.
Audition and callbacks for “Mary Poppins” will take place at the Major Bowes Auditorium in Archbishop Stepinac High School, 950 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains.
