These 5 fitness programs will keep you motivated long after January 2.

Greetings from our Publisher:

We’re experimenting here with Examiner+, breaking away from some traditional approaches, so indulge me for a moment as I delve into a somewhat random musing with in my introduction to today’s edition of the newsmagazine. I’m about to craft a column about my COVID-era obsession with chess. Look out for that piece as soon as we have a spot in our E+ content schedule. I’ve been thinking about how we pick our hobbies and what those choices reveal about us. Do you have any unusual hobbies? Or more traditional hobbies you want to expound on? I’d love to hear from you. Email me at examinerplus@theexaminernews.com.
Happy Monday and enjoy today’s edition of Examiner+.

Write back,
Adam

Spectrum Fitness by Natalie
Cortlandt Manor

“This is not your run-of-the-mill program,” says Natalie Zeno, a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor.

Her women’s-only community was first established in 2015 and specializes in training women of all ages, with the company name being a tribute to her father-in-law, Charlie, who taught her how to lift weights.

Natalie’s clients enjoy the accountability and support offered by the women of Spectrum Fitness, as the program helps eliminate bad habits while forming new, healthy ones.

One of her most popular training programs is Rx3; Reset, Refocus, Reclaim. This private group provides the framework for success through full-length easy-to-follow exercise videos and monthly meal plans, including approved snacks and recipes.

Small Group Personal Training at Fused Fitness
Peekskill

Along with offering fitness and nutrition solutions, small group personal training is an option to typical one-on-one training at Fused Fitness.

“We decided to offer small group personal training as an option because it allows us to work with more people at one time, expanding our impact and increasing the ripple effect,” explains founder and CEO of Fused Fitness, Alina Pedraza. “This allows us to reach more people, and when their lives change with the changes that they make at Fused, it ripples out to their personal lives! It also allows people to get the same results as they would with a personal trainer, but at a fraction of the cost.”

The small gym has created a fun, judgment-free environment that encourages people to enjoy the process of physical and mental transformation and change along their journey.

Yoga with Jillian Tiburzi
Harrison

Wanting to add variety to her workout routine, Jillian Tiburzi first began her practice in 2010. She completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, and from many knowledgeable teachers, she learned traditions that influenced her styles of teaching, which was created to be a unique vinyasa blend.

It was in this training where Jillian also learned prenatal yoga, which she immediately felt drawn to. In 2018, she received her Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga Certification and has been teaching pre- and postnatal classes ever since. But she didn’t stop there.

In 2020, she completed the Kids Yoga Teacher Training, now allowing her to train a large variety of yogis.

Currently, Jillian teaches prenatal classes in-person and virtual postnatal mama and baby classes. She’s also available for small group and private sessions in person or virtually by request.

Not only does she make you work, she does it with a smile on her face that’ll be sure to put a smile on yours (even through the sweat).

When you feel like giving up, Tricia and the rest of the crew will make sure you keep going, as their goal is to motivate and dominate. dominate??

Hot HIIT classes are being offered both in studio and virtually, so you’ll never feel like you’re missing out on the burn.

Harrison

Stop running from your goals and start running towards them!

Coach AJ makes running fun with a club meant for both beginners and advanced runners. The HSF Run Club helps members improve their running, train for road races, and even teaches about “all things running,” such as physiology, injuries, form, drills, footwear, nutrition, and more.

The goal is to enable members to increase their running capacity over time by learning proper form and pacing,  which will help prevent injuries and increase the ability to perform, both with short-term and long-term intervals.

The Run Club meets two times a week and sessions will go on for one hour (or less), and members can expect to work out outdoors, weather permitting.
