Bravo to Red House Entertainment for bringing the Paramount Hudson Valley back to life with a variety of entertainment.

Bravo to Ossining Mayor William Hanauer for eight years of strong leadership that brought much needed housing and business investment to the village.

Boo to those, including Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, who oppose the state Common Core standards which are simply designed to arm today’s students with the tools and knowledge they will need to compete and succeed in the future.

Bravo to the Cortlandt and Wilkens’ Farm Markets for their cider donuts.

Bravo to Katonah Nursery for their traditional end of season cookie and coffee spread.

Boo to politicians and organizations who expect local newspapers to join in lockstep with them.

Boo to self-absorbed columnists who would like to censor and silence local media by advocating the elimination of political endorsements.

Bravo to Support Connection of Yorktown for its 20th anniversary Support-A-Walk and year-round support for women and families suffering from breast and ovarian cancer.

Bravo to Yorktown Councilman Vishnu Patel for his support of local scouts and sharing his vast knowledge of science and technology with students in the Yorktown and Lakeland school districts.

Boo to Yorktown Supervisor Michael Grace for trying to bully his board colleagues into approving a special permit for the sober home on Underhill Avenue.

Bravo to the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce as it prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary.
