Modell’s set to open in Mount Kisco this Month

Modell’s Sporting Goods is scheduled to open at the site of a former Borders store before Sept. 1 on East Main Street in Mount Kisco.

Just in time for the fall sports season, the new Modell’s Sporting Goods store on East Main Street is set to open in Mount Kisco later this month, ,Mayor Michael Cindrich said on Aug. 11.
“Modell’s in on target to open before Sept. 1,” Cindrich said. “They will be stocking the store with merchandise this week or early next week. “
Cindrich said he had no information on additional tenants that would move into the 22,399-square-foot space at 162 E. Main St.
Borders left the building in September 2011 after the chain filed for bankruptcy.
