Greenburgh and NYC Police Continue Search for Christine Kang

We are part of The Trust Project
unnamedChristine Ji Woo Kang is still missing and the Organization of Chinese Americans (OCA) has been assisting the family.
They are sending missing persons fliers to major regional and national media organizations for inclusion in their “Have You Seen these Missing Children?” segments.
The photo accompanying this story is being used on the “MissingPerson” flyers, which have been distributed in New York City and Fort Lee, New Jersey  where Christine is believed to have friends.

The Greenburgh Police Department and New York City Police are actively attempting to locate missing 16-year-old Christine (Ji Woo) Kang.  On Tuesday afternoon police were able to confirm that Christine had made it to Manhattan. They located video of her in Grand Central Terminal near the Lexington Avenue entrance on Friday night at about 11 p.m.

Known to have run away in the past, concerns are that Christine, who was wearing pajama bottoms and a shirt, is not dressed for the extreme cold weather now in the area, nor is it known if she has any friends who might help her.

After minor arguments with her parents, Christine had run off in the past, but usually returned home after a brief period. According to her parents, this is the longest she has stayed away.

A $4,000 reward has been offered.

Police, who have not ruled out foul play, are asking anyone that has had communication with Christine within the last month to come forward and contact Greenburgh Detectives at 914-989-1700. All calls can be kept confidential.
