14 Yorktown Businesses Pass Alcohol Compliance Checks

imagesAll 14 businesses in Yorktown that were part of random alcohol compliance checks by undercover officers on August 7 refused to sell alcoholic beverages to the underage agent.

The establishments that passed the checks were Courtesy Shell, Hess Mart Route 202, Suburban Liquors, 7-11 Commerce Street, Yorktown Beer and Soda, 7-11 Shell, Yorktown Mobil, Quick Stop Gulf, CVS, Courtesy Mobil, Parkside Wine and Liquors, Yorktown Wines, Turco’s and A&P.

Yorktown Police Chief Daniel McMahon said the compliance checks were made possible through a Drug-Free Communities grant that was awarded to the Alliance for Safe Kids through the Westchester County Stop DWI program.
