Two Businesses Cited in Underage Drinking Enforcement

We are part of The Trust Project

Employees at two businesses in Cortlandt were cited on November 27 for selling alcohol to an 18-year-old during an Underage Drinking Enforcement Detail conducted by the State Police in Cortlandt, Yorktown and Buchanan.

Out of 15 businesses visited by the 18-year-old, Oregon Shell and Montrose Deli were the only merchants that sold alcoholic beverages to the teenager without asking for identification. The employees at those businesses were issued appearance tickets for violating section 65-1 of the New York State Alcohol Beverage Control Law, as well as the corporations.
