Rick Pezzullo

Rick Pezzullo, Editor 

Rick has more than 40 years’ experience covering local news in Westchester and Putnam counties, running the gamut from politics and crime to sports and human interest. He has been an editor at Examiner Media since 2012.

Prior to that, he was managing editor for 10 years at the former North County News in Yorktown Heights, where he first got his start in journalism as a freshman in high school. He also worked for The Peekskill Herald, The Daily Voice and The Hudson Independent.

Rick earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Pace University, where he was editor of the White Plains campus newspaper. He has lived in Westchester his entire life and is married to his college sweetheart, Jacqueline. They have two children, Cheryline and Rick, who are both doctors. Rick has been honored by the New York Press Association with statewide awards for news reporting, editorial writing and photography, and The Deadline Club in New York City.
