Hundreds gathered to watch the the demolition by explosives of the old Tappan Zee Bridge Tuesday morning as demolition and salvage experts deconstructed what remains of east anchor span. Traffic delays were experienced in both directions on I-87, I-287 and surrounding roadways. Many drivers took alternate routes.
