Yorktown Community Day Set for June 1

We are part of The Trust Project

The Alliance for Safe Kids (ASK) and the Town of Yorktown will host the 24th annual Yorktown Community Day on Saturday, June 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Jack DeVito Memorial Field behind the Yorktown Community and CulturalCenter.

The free event will feature the 8th Annual Taste of Yorktown and showcase local merchants, community organizations, inflatable play equipment, activities for kids, music and entertainment for all ages.

“This day is about bringing together Yorktown and sharing our unique roles in making our community special,” said Lisa Tomeny, executive director of ASK. “This community spirit is the foundation for the safety net that we collectively build and strengthen for our young people and families all year long.”

The Taste of Yorktown will highlight the culinary creations of local restaurants and amateur chefs that will compete in the cook-off for Best Barbeque, Best Yorktown Signature Dish, Best Cupcake and People’s Choice.
