The body of a missing Mahopac man was found yesterday afternoon at around 2:30 at Turkey Mountain Nature Preserve in Yorktown.

Police were searching for Stuart A. Goldstein, who was reported missing by his family last week.

Goldstein’s car was found at the park off Route 118 between 2 and 3 a.m.

“A search was conducted from about 10 a.m. to about 2:30 p.m. by Yorktown police along with other municipalities,” stated Lt. Kevin Soravilla. The body was discovered a quarter mile away from the parking area.

The cause of death has not been released.

Goldstein was an arborist and owned A & S Tree Service, Inc.

Members of the Yorktown, Carmel and state police were involved in the search, as well as officers from the New York City Department of Environmental Protection police and the Westchester County Bureau of Emergency Services and the Yorktown Heights Fire Department.
