Insurrection Was More Serious to Nation Than What is Being Portrayed

We are part of The Trust Project

I recently read in The Putnam Examiner that Anthony Vuksanaj of Mahopac was arrested and is being charged with a variety of crimes, all involving his illegal entry into the Capitol on Jan. 6. Sadly, the charges all seem to be relatively trivial misdemeanors. Vuksanaj participated in what was the attempted violent overthrow of the U.S. government. How is this guy not being charged with multiple felonies? He should go to jail for several decades and have his property confiscated.

For 245 years this nation has had peaceful transfers of power until for the first time this year. Why is not everyone’s hair on fire about this? Sadly, The Examiner referred to the attempted violent overthrow of our government as a “riot.” The word “riot” trivializes what was happening here. This was NOT a riot; it was the attempted violent overthrow of our government. Is this so hard for people to understand?
