We are part of The Trust Project

Peter Kelly has joined Health Quest as the president of Putnam Hospital Center.

“I’m delighted to be at Putnam Hospital Center and look forward to participating in the further development of Health Quest and the benefits it will bring to the hospital and the patients we serve,” Kelly said.

Kelly replaces James Caldas, who left the organization after serving as president of the hospital for two-and-a-half years.

“Peter’s reputation for driving change and setting bold goals will help us progress toward our vision of top-decile performance,” Health Quest President Robert Friedberg said.

Putnam Hospital Center is a 164-bed, acute care hospital offering medical, surgical, psychiatric and 24/7 emergency services. As the only hospital in Putnam County, Putnam Hospital Center has been serving the needs of Putnam, northern Westchester and southern Dutchess counties since 1964.

Kelly has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, having most recently served as senior adviser of external affairs for CarePoint Health system in Hudson County, N.J.

Prior to that, Kelly was president and CEO of Christ Hospital in Jersey City from 2005 to 2014.

Kelly’s extensive career in healthcare also includes serving as chief operating officer of Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan and as president and chief executive officer for Continuum Health Partners Inc.

Kelly received his bachelor’s degree from St. Bonaventure University and a master’s in healthcare administration from Long Island University.
