As a local resident and supplier to Marmalade, I am quite surprised the town supervisor would even consider a new construction project that would further burden the community for at least 9 months. The village has not had a chance to recoup lost customers due to the disruptive bridge construction. Why would they consider a project that would keep customers from coming back to Chappaqua? As Cindy Lupica asks, can't they wait a year? Can't they give the businesses a chance to rebuild their business. Due to the slower foot traffic, my sales to Marmalade was down signficantly from the previous year. So - it is not just the local community Susan Carpenter is ignoring. I think the town supervisor needs to listen very carefully to the businesses in Chappaqua. If you burden the village with another disruptive project, you may not have many people to enjoy the fancy new sidewalks and cute little park you are planning.

JEREMIAH HOU?

Yes, as in HARRY HOUDINI, the magician who could be in two (or in Jeremiah Frei Pearson's case three) places at the same time. Lets see, Jeremiah, an attorney by trade, claims he grew up in Westchester, but if you Google him, you will find several sources stating he either grew up in Baltimore up until 16, and other articles stating he spent part of his childhood in Queens (yes, Queens, where he also lived after law school and where, according to articles, he committed himself to serving -- not exactly the greater Westchester area of New York). So somehow Jeremiah "Houdini" grew up three places at the same time; wow, certainly classic magic; you have to love this kid for his Chutzpah. Even wilder, the articles note that Jeremiah ran twice for political office in 2009 and 2010 in New York City (When did the Westchester area become part of Bloomberg's fiefdom). Hmm, Jeremiah seems less of a Harry Houdini magician and rather another type of "Harry," as in Harry Ford, Jr. the Carpetbagger from Tennessee who SWITCHED to New York to run against our Senator Kirsten Gilibrand.

COUNCILMAN BUCHWALD THE TAXMAN

Now I am reading on the news that Councilman David Buchwald from White Plains is running for our 89th Assembly District seat. David Hou? Again, another Houdini, who is a CORPORATE TAX LAWYER for a large law firm in New York City. Great, we need another tax attorney in Albany, like we need holes in our heads. Really, a tax attorney for the Assembly seat? Is he somehow better than Jeremiah, a corporate attorney? A tax attorney would probably only create higher taxes for us and complicate our state tax code. Lovely, two clown attorneys.

CURRENT ASSEMBLYMAN BOB CASTELLI

As many of you know, Bob Castelli, a moderate Republican, who is a fiscal conservative yet has (unlike Republicans in Congress) supported bipartisan legislation to correct dysfunctional state politics, recently got elected for the seat in 2010. Upon review of Bob's website (www.bobcastelli.com), he has always lived in the Westchester area with his extended family, served as a New York State police officer, is a small business owner and college professor, a father of two sons, one who is in the U.S. Army Special Forces and the other an ordained minister, and Bob is a Vietnam veteran. I doubt Jeremiah "Houdini" or Buchwald the Taxman have ever served our country.

CONCLUSION

Right now, its simple:

Kick Jeremiah the Carpetbagger back into his magic Baltimore-Queens-Westchester box to do tricks elsewhere

Say NO to Buchwald the Taxman (we don't need another tax attorney to increase our taxes to pay for dysfunctional past policies)

VOTE BOB CASTELLI - a family man who has served us with integrity
