imgresThe New Castle Recreation and Parks Dept will be holding its annual Ragamuffin Parade and Carnival on Sunday. The carnival begins at 12:30 p.m. and the parade steps off at 3:30 p.m. at the Chappaqua train station. The whole family is invited to dress in costume, march in the parade, ride the carnival rides and enjoy a full afternoon of fun.

Brought back by popular demand, the Ragamuffin Carnival will feature music, a bounce house, Dragon Slide, Kiddie Pillar, Berry Go Round, Go Carts and more. Also, event sponsor Korth & Shannahan will have an activity station set up for all to enjoy. Please note, each carnival attraction will require a ticket, which can be purchased on site for $2 per ticket.

The parade is also sponsored by the New Castle Police Benevolent Association and Chappaqua Dunkin’ Donuts and will feature the Chappaqua Fire Department and Ambulance Corps, The Blue Crew Marching Band, The Dixie Dandies Marching Bands, the Troop 236 Boy Scouts of America Band, along with all of you Ragamuffins. Don’t forget to come with family and friends to come and watch the parade down South Greeley Avenue.
